Alec Baldwin Walking Around With A Cane Following ‘Incredibly Painful’ Hip Surgery

Alec Baldwin, the 65-year-old actor, was spotted using a cane as he continues to recover from hip surgery. The operation took place on May 30, and he expects to use the cane for a few more weeks until he fully regains his strength and balance. Despite the challenges, he is grateful to be active once again.

The cane supports the left side of his body, which is the side that underwent surgery. Baldwin paired the metal cane with a black blazer, a navy blue button-down shirt, a black t-shirt, navy blue pants, and black loafers. This is the first appearance he has made since the surgery.

Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, shared the news of the surgery on May 30, posting a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with her husband by her side. She described the surgery as necessary and expressed gratitude towards the doctors, nurses, and staff who supported them through this difficult time. Alec thanked her for her support and expressed his desire to leave behind the chronic pain he had been experiencing.

Just five days after the surgery, Alec Baldwin shared a video on Instagram in which he discussed the reasons behind the surgery. He explained that he had already undergone hip surgery on his left side five years ago and decided to have his right hip done this time. Despite needing the surgery for several years, work commitments and his glucose issues prevented him from going ahead. He mentioned the intense pain he experienced during the surgery but acknowledged that the procedure was worth it to prevent further damage as he ages.

What’s New with Alec Baldwin?

Alec Baldwin’s hip surgery comes shortly after becoming a first-time grandfather. His eldest daughter, 27-year-old Ireland Baldwin, welcomed her first child with boyfriend André Allen Anjos. Alec shared a throwback photo on Instagram of him with Ireland when she was a little girl, expressing his love and joy for the new addition to the family. Hilaria Baldwin also took to Instagram to share a photo of their large family, congratulating Ireland and Andre on their new arrival.

Aside from family news, Baldwin also celebrated the completion of the movie “Rust,” the filming of which had been marred by a tragic accident. Baldwin accidentally shot and killed a cinematographer with what was believed to be a prop gun. After pausing production, they recently finished filming the movie.
