Manganiello, known for his role in Magic Mike, filed for divorce in July of last year, putting an end to his seven-year marriage with Sofia Vergara, one of Hollywood’s power couples. Reports suggest that their relationship deteriorated due to disagreements about starting a family.
Different Views on Parenthood
While Manganiello expressed his desire to have children, the 51-year-old Vergara, who already has a grown-up son from a previous marriage, was not interested in starting over. As a result, the couple made the difficult decision to divorce, which was announced in July of 2023 and finalized in September.
In a joint statement, they said, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

It was reported that Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor were already linked as early as November, following an after-party for Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, where O’Connor appears as Dyan Cannon.
Manganiello and O’Connor bonded over their Pittsburgh roots, and despite not having been an item for a long time, insiders claim that they are deeply in love. Their commitment is evident as Manganiello has moved in with O’Connor, demonstrating the seriousness of their relationship.

In the meantime, Vergara has started dating Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Justin Saliman. A source close to Vergara shared with the media that she is enjoying herself and not looking to be tied down.
The insider revealed, “His (Joe’s) relationship with Caitlin doesn’t faze her.” The source went on to say that Manganiello and O’Connor are “doing really well and getting more and more serious, talking about their future. They are really enjoying where things are going.”
