Reports suggest that neighboring blocks of land were sold in 2012, with the property’s value estimated at around $4.75 million at that time. Fast forward a decade, and experts now believe it could be worth a staggering $50 million! That’s quite an appreciation, to say the least.
Real estate agent Taylor Bredin from Ray White Quakers Hill acknowledges the family’s resilience, saying, “Most people sold out years ago, but these guys have held on. All credit to them.” The property has the potential to be subdivided into 40 to 50 properties, each with a value of approximately one million dollars per 300 square meters.
What makes this family’s decision even more remarkable is the fact that neighboring properties have been built right up to their fence. Yet, they have no plans to sell. They enjoy the unique charm of living in a cul-de-sac and cherish their memories of a time when the neighborhood was filled with farmland and quaint cottages.
Mom Diane Zammit, 50, reflects on the changing landscape, saying, “Every home was unique, and there was so much space… but not anymore. It’s just not the same.” Their dedication to preserving their cherished home, despite lucrative offers, is truly inspiring. They prioritize sentimental value over financial gain, and that’s something we rarely come across.
