Aloe Vera (The Hydrator): Aloe is a humectant, meaning it draws moisture into the skin. It is rich in Vitamins C and E, both of which are antioxidants that help fight free radical damage. It also contains sterols that stimulate the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, helping the skin maintain its bounce and elasticity.

Vaseline (The Sealant): Petroleum jelly is an “occlusive.” It doesn’t add moisture itself, but it creates a physical barrier that prevents transepidermal water loss. By sealing the Aloe Vera underneath, it forces the hydration deep into the skin cells, making them swell slightly to fill in fine wrinkles.

The Recipe: Overnight Youthful Glow Mask
This treatment is best used as an overnight mask to give the ingredients time to deeply penetrate the skin barrier.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons pure Aloe Vera gel (fresh from the leaf is best, or 100% store-bought)

1 teaspoon Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly)

Optional: 2 drops of Vitamin E oil or Rosehip oil for extra rejuvenation.

Instructions:

Cleanse: Wash your face thoroughly to ensure no dirt or bacteria is trapped under the barrier.

Mix: In a small, clean container, whip the Aloe Vera gel and Vaseline together until they form a smooth, milky-white cream.

Apply: While your skin is still slightly damp, apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face, neck, and chest. Focus on areas prone to “crow’s feet” or forehead lines.
