Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz, who starred together in the popular Disney movie “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge,” are now officially married! They exchanged vows on April 19 in a beautiful ceremony in California, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The wedding took place at the Spanish Hills Club in Camarillo, and the couple couldn’t have been happier with their choice of venue.

“We fell in love with the stunning scenery when we first visited the club,” says Brown, 39. “It was the first venue we saw, and nothing else could compare.”

Their wedding had an “understated elegance” theme, with a soft color palette of white and blush pink, accented with black for a modern touch. The ceremony took place outdoors, under a wooden arbor adorned with flowers. The arrangements were handled by Tipsy Tulips Designs, with blooms provided by Petal Driven. Rustic Yard Events took care of the rentals, and Party Mosiac supplied the linens. More Than Words created all of the couple’s stationery products.

The couple’s love for nature inspired them to have an outdoor ceremony, overlooking a beautiful valley. Afterward, they moved inside to continue the celebration with their guests. Their close friend Ashley Crenshaw officiated the ceremony, adding a personal touch to the event. Brown’s sister served as her matron of honor, and actress Lacey Chabert, who also starred in Halloweentown, was one of the bridesmaids.

The bride walked down the aisle to the beautiful song “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles, performed by Briana Cuoco, actress Kaley Cuoco’s sister. Brown looked stunning in a Stella York dress from Lili Bridals, complete with a custom-made veil. As the dancing began, she swapped her heels for sparkly sneakers by Betsey Johnson. Her wedding-day glam was done by Violet Artistry.

Kountz and his groomsmen wore suits, ties, and shoes from SuitShop. The couple made music a top priority for their special day, hiring an “awesome” DJ and saxophonist, Tyler Varnell. He played a saxophone solo during their first dance as husband and wife, which was to the song “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne.

Food was another important aspect of the wedding for Brown and Kountz. They made sure to offer a variety of tasty snack options for their guests, including a flatbread station and a french fries bar with various fries, onion rings, and dipping sauces. The main course featured New York strip and chicken napoli. For dessert, they had a gluten-free vanilla bean cake with a cinnamon cream cheese crunch filling and vanilla buttercream frosting, made by Sugar Lab Bake Shop.

The special moments of the day were beautifully captured by The Big Affair photography and Luma House videography. Looking back on their wedding, the couple describes it as “a dream come true.” They are grateful for the presence of their family and friends, and the joy of having everyone celebrating together.

Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz first met while working on Halloweentown II back in 2001. Although they were just friends at the time, they reconnected in 2016 and started dating after working on a project together. Their shared history and friendship laid a strong foundation for their romantic relationship.

After being together for several years, Kountz proposed on June 26, 2022, on the anniversary of their official start as a couple. He surprised Brown with a proposal at the Griffith Observatory, the location of their first date. They are now excited to embark on this new chapter of their lives as husband and wife.

As they settle into married life, Brown and Kountz look forward to traveling and exploring the world together. They share a love for adventure and can’t wait to experience new countries and cultures as a couple.
