If you find these scary-looking insects in your home, here's what it means

No one likes dealing with bugs in their home, especially creepy crawlies like earwigs. These little insects may look intimidating, but they are actually harmless. However, having a horde of earwigs crawling around your home is definitely not pleasant. Luckily, there’s a simple hack that can help you get rid of them.

Facebook user Alicia Alexander shared a tried and tested method to deal with earwigs, and it’s worth giving it a try. All you need is a shallow bowl and half a cup of olive oil. Fill the bowl with the olive oil and place it in your backyard or on your deck. The sweet smell of the oil will attract the earwigs, and once they crawl into the bowl, they won’t be able to climb out.

According to Alicia, this method is highly effective. In less than 24 hours, she managed to accumulate a significant number of earwigs in the bowl. After 36 hours, the bowl was even more full. This hack can be a game-changer if you’re dealing with an earwig infestation.

While having earwigs in your home may not be ideal, it’s usually not a cause for alarm. These insects are attracted to wood rot, so it’s important to check any wooden structures in your home. However, if you find earwigs seeking warmth inside your house, it’s completely normal and unlikely to cause any harm to you.

So, give this simple hack a try and get rid of those pesky earwigs for good. Have you heard of this method before? Let us know in the comments!
