My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made.
Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.”
With characteristic vigor, Team Trump wasted no time in launching a blistering campaign against Harris. A political action committee (PAC) allied with Trump’s campaign has released a searing 2024 ad targeting the Vice President, aiming to sway voters in critical swing states such as Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.
The ad, titled “Paid the Price,” takes aim at Harris’s tenure alongside Biden, highlighting what it portrays as her complicity in the administration’s failures.
MAGA Inc., the PAC responsible for the ad, issued a statement through spokesman Alex Pfeiffer, who asserted, “Kamala Harris has lied for years now about Joe Biden’s mental condition, and America suffered for it. It’s time now for her to tell the truth and answer this one question: If Joe Biden is unfit for the campaign trail, then how is he fit for office?”
The Trump War Room also took to social media to amplify the ad, posting, “Kamala was in on it. She covered up Joe’s obvious mental decline. Kamala knew Joe couldn’t do the job, so she did it. Look what she got done: a border invasion, runaway inflation, the American Dream dead.”
In his signature style, Trump has already coined a new nickname for his likely opponent: “Laffin’ Kamala Harris.” During a recent rally, Trump quipped, “I call her Laffin’ Kamala. You ever watch her laugh? She’s crazy. You can tell a lot by a laugh… She’s nuts.”
This isn’t the first time Trump has targeted Harris with his unique brand of criticism. He previously dubbed her “Lyin’ Kamala,” referencing her role as the Biden-appointed “Border Chief” who, according to Trump, failed to address the border crisis effectively.
Trump commented, “Lyin’ Kamala Harris, the Biden appointed ‘Border [chief]’ who never visited the Border, and whose incompetence gave us the WORST and MOST DANGEROUS Border anywhere in the World, has absolutely terrible pole [sic] numbers against a fine and brilliant young man named DONALD J. TRUMP! Be careful what you wish for, Democrats??? MAGA2024.”
