Beloved TV personality and traffic judge from Rhode Island, Frank Caprio, has shared some deeply saddening news. In a heartfelt video from the show Caught in Providence, he revealed that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a formidable and challenging type of cancer.

Despite celebrating his birthday just recently, Judge Frank, who is 87 years old, described this year’s birthday as unlike any other. Not feeling well, he decided to visit the doctor, only to receive the devastating diagnosis. However, he remains optimistic and grateful for the exceptional team of doctors who are providing him with care and treatment in Rhode Island and at the renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

“I hope God guides the thoughts and hands of the doctors taking care of me. I know this is going to be a long journey, and I’m ready to fight with all my strength,” Frank expressed. Amidst his battle, he humbly asked his friends and followers for their prayers, believing in the power of prayer alongside the medical treatment he receives.

Reflecting on the outpouring of support he has received, Judge Frank expressed his gratitude, saying, “Just knowing that you’re thinking of me means a lot. So, thank you for all your past messages. Thank you for your love and support. And please, just a small prayer would mean a great deal to me.”

Judge Frank retired in January 2023 after an illustrious career of nearly 40 years as the chief judge of the municipal court in Providence, Rhode Island. Today, our thoughts and prayers go out to this incredible man as he embarks on this challenging journey.
