When Patricia Clarke discovered she was pregnant in 1983, she had a strong intuition that her baby was going to be on the larger side. With a family history of big babies, she anticipated a hefty arrival. However, she could never have fathomed just how massive her child would turn out to be.

On that eventful day, Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, a baby who astoundingly weighed over 16 pounds. Not only was Kevin the largest baby ever delivered at Community Memorial Hospital, but he may very well have been the largest baby in the entire state of New Jersey. Unsurprisingly, Kevin couldn’t fit into a standard crib, and his baby clothes were far too small for him. Despite the challenges, Kevin was healthy, which brought immense relief to his parents.

Naturally, Kevin’s extraordinary size didn’t go unnoticed. He quickly became the talk of the nation, receiving widespread media attention. His remarkable story even made its way onto popular shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.”

But Kevin’s remarkable journey was far from over. At the age of 12, he already stood at an astonishing 5 foot 7 inches tall. By the time he reached junior high, he towered at a staggering 6 foot 5 inches. And he kept growing. Today, at 35 years old, Kevin measures an incredible 6 feet 9 inches.

Kevin’s height has made him a constant source of intrigue for those around him. He jokingly tells others that he is “5-foot-21” when asked about his height. When people inquire if he plays basketball, he playfully responds by asking them if they play miniature golf.

Despite the challenges that come with being larger than life, Kevin has embraced his unique stature. He is a former military man who now lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane. His towering presence has become a part of who he is, and he handles it with grace and humor.
